Workshop Topics & Teachers
12:00 - 12:20pm. - Dalia Warm up
12:20 - 1:20pm. - Dalia Carella -
Roman, Romanesque! Dalia will be using Roman Jazz Music
and teach a short choreography. The music is fantastic to
dance to and extremely fun. Both footwork and hand gesturing
will be taught in a traditional roman style with contemporary
movement to go with the music.
1:20- 2:20pm. - Nadia
- Krazee Khaleeji -Group dance to "Warrini" by
Kuwait's Guitara -
This is a modern, contemporary Khaleeji-inspired dance with
lots of drama, hot hip isolations, and of course some traditional
Khaleeji moves. This is not your mother's Khaleeji!! Please
bring a thobe if you have one, or a long, full skirt and
veil. Some extra thobes will be available for participants
use.
2:45-3:45pm. - Mariyah - Drum Solo
Choreography - Experience Mariyah's signature style with
a vocabulary of shimmies, layering movements and intricate
hip isolations to an exciting drum solo to be announced!
2:30 - 3:45pm. - Vendor and Dancer
Set-up - Studio 4F.
3:45 -6:00pm. - Shopping! Vendors
and Dancers -

Important - Please read! This is
a great way to sell your costume and wares!
We are looking for both Vendors with
creative items and dancers who want to sell their costumes,
jewelry, dancewear, etc! . Please contact me if you would
like to vend. 20% of your sales will go to The Collective.
We would like to have a variety of Oriental, Tribal &
Alternative costumes and Jewelry! If you want us to sell
your costumes as part of the Collective's Vending Table,
we will sell them for you!!! Please contact me at info@daliacarella.com.
We want to keep this intimate and very informal and allow
both dancers and vendors to sell their wares! The workshops
will be from 12-3:45pm. and shopping will be from 3:45pm.
- 6:00pm. First come first serve on vending, etc. Please
note: if we are selling your costumes for you, you have
to pick them up before 6:00pm.
